Each model of our Gravel bike & bikepacking bags is born from a real need. A descent where everything must stay in place. Weather that changes without warning. A day that stretches on and simply demands reliable equipment.
We test, we adjust, we repeat.
Until it holds up. Until it becomes simple. Obvious. Only then do we return to the workshop. We cut, we sew, we assemble. Without trying to do more — just what's necessary. A seam too stiff, a poorly designed attachment, inconvenient access: nothing passes here. Because everything is tested where nothing can cheat.
Sewing in Ariège isn't just about local production
It's a subtle highlighting of our local manufacturing, in the spirit of Velocidade — a second home in Ariège. Having left Lisbon, I found an unexpected anchor here fifteen years ago, a rhythm that naturally imposed itself, balancing the demands of the field with the simplicity of well-made things. Each bag carries a bit of this region: its demands, its unpredictability, its sincerity.
Our equipment is not made to be looked at. It's made to ride. To last. To be forgotten.

RICARDO VIEIRA - FOUNDER/DESIGNER/SEWER
Ricardo has long been thinking about reducing his environmental impact, whether through his sporting activities of cycling and running, or in his daily life, having decided to be vegetarian more than 20 years ago. Curious and passionate, he began creating and manufacturing his first objects when his grandfather gave him a sewing machine for his 17th birthday, and since then, has been dedicated to creating, repairing, and manufacturing with the same energy and in the same direction: sobriety and localism. Convinced that the bicycle is the ultimate decarbonized solution for everyday travel, Ricardo decided to create Velocidade and embarked on the design and conception of handmade bags, in a completely artisanal way.
