Les chaussettes mérinos 2.0

Merino socks 2.0

Merino socks 2.0: tested, approved and knitted in France

For over a year now, we've been putting the Merino 2.0 socks knitted by our friends Les 3 Tricoteurs through their paces in every conceivable condition. From the freezing cold and damp of the Desertus Bikus , to long days of running and hiking in the Ariège region , to dusty and sunny stages of the Gravel Birds , not to mention the summer weeks spent camping or traveling in a van . Suffice it to say, we've worn them everywhere, all the time, and in every conceivable situation.

And frankly, the verdict is clear: these socks are top-notch in all situations!

The comfort of merino wool, from morning to night

Merino wool has this almost magical quality: it adapts to your body and your environment. When it's cold, it retains heat. When it's warm, it allows your skin to breathe and wicks away moisture. The result: dry feet, neither too hot nor too cold, even after several hours (or days) of activity.

Merino 2.0 socks take advantage of these natural thermoregulating properties . They are also odor-resistant , breathable , and very comfortable to wear , even without removing them for several days of travel. For those who like to travel light, this is a real advantage: one or two pairs are enough for a complete bikepacking adventure or hiking tour .

Durable, comfortable, and built to last

Knitted from ultra-comfortable merino wool , these socks combine flexibility, support, and durability . The knit is dense without being stiff, allowing them to retain their shape over time, even after numerous washes. They won't stretch out and will maintain the soft feel typical of merino.

These are socks designed for living, moving, sweating, walking and cycling — in short, for accompanying busy days and extended journeys.

Made in France, locally and responsibly

Beyond comfort, these socks also tell a beautiful story of local craftsmanship . They are designed in our workshop in Ariège , then knitted in Roubaix by our friends at Les Trois Tricoteurs . This collaboration highlights 100% French production , with a reduced carbon footprint and a genuine commitment to local manufacturing.

Working with Les Trois Tricoteurs also means supporting a sustainable and innovative approach to textiles, going against the grain of fast fashion. The yarns are carefully selected, production is controlled, and each pair is the result of true craftsmanship.

Lightweight, comfortable, durable socks made locally: a small accessory that makes a big difference in everyday life and when traveling. Whether you're heading out for a multi-day cycling adventure , a gravel ride in the Pyrenees , or simply a day's work in the workshop, these Merino 2.0 socks have proven to be faithful companions .

And after a year of intensive testing, we can say without hesitation: they are great in all situations!

RICARDO VIEIRA - FOUNDER/DESIGNER/FASHIONIST

Ricardo has long been thinking about reducing his environmental impact, whether through his cycling and running, or in his daily life, having decided to become a vegetarian over 20 years ago. Curious and passionate, he began creating and making his first objects when his grandfather gave him a sewing machine for his 17th birthday, and since then, he has dedicated himself to creating, repairing, and making things with the same energy and in the same direction: simplicity and local production. Convinced that cycling is the ultimate low-carbon solution for everyday travel, Ricardo decided to create Velocidade and embarked on designing and crafting handmade bags using entirely artisanal methods.
